Jervis Bay

Jervis Bay is a term used to describe many things.  Jervis Bay or JB is used when describing 'Jervis Bay' the general area, 'Jervis Bay' the body of water or 'Jervis Bay' the village. 

Jervis Bay, the general area, is a large area which incorporates Falls Creek, Woollamia, Huskisson, Vincentia, Hyams Beach, Erowal Bay, Wrights Beach, Bream Beach, Old Erowal Bay, Sanctuary Point, St Georges Basin, Basin View, Tomerong and more villages on the Northern side of the bay. 

Jervis Bay, the body of water, is 102 square kilometres in size, a decleared Marine Park and home to some of the clearest waters and whitest sand in the world along with an amazing variety of marine life including a permanent pod of Bottlenose Dolphins and annually visiting Humpback Whales.  Popular for any number of water based activities Jervis Bay is a paradise yet to be discovered by the wider community.  Adjacent to Jervis Bay is St Georges Basin, an 11 square kilometre coastal lake. A typically flat and relatively safe and shallow waterway St Georges Basin is also a very popular and well used waterway.

Jervis Bay, the village, is a small village located in Booderee National Park and comes under the governing bodies of the Australian Capital Territory.

Jervis Bay offers an amazing variety of land and seascapes with environmental qualities rarely found in today's world and an expanding cosmopolitan community.  With a variety of villages and improving facilities Jervis Bay is a place of the future.
